I’m Dan Fiskum. I’ve lived in Rockford since 2007. I had just gone through a divorce and was looking for a place to start over. Rockford felt right. I liked the small-town atmosphere, and as a motorcycle rider, I knew that the roads out here provided interesting rides.

I’m an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning and family law, including divorce, custody and parenting time, and alimony. My approach to family law is that of a seasoned and steady negotiator. I believe the best outcomes often happen when parties fully understand their rights and obligations and participate meaningfully in mediation. When an amicable settlement is possible (and it usually is), I can help guide a case in that direction. I also have significant litigation experience when settlement isn’t possible.

I have offices in Minnetonka and Delano. I appear regularly in courts across Wright, Hennepin, Scott, and Carver counties. But Rockford is home.

Before becoming a lawyer, I worked professionally as a musician, performing everywhere from Carnegie Hall to Las Vegas. I’m a life member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 30-73.

My wife Greta and I have two dogs. We run 5K races and we spend time in Duluth and Grand Marais when we can.
